| Dear F. Smith, There are a lot of tobacco brands, some better than others (Van Rossem's brand is not bad). But of all the ones I know, I am tempted to say that my favorite should be one of the varieties grown in the Southfarthing of the Shire, like the Longbottom Leaf. But I am sure that no man will ever surpass (nor equal) the Hobbits in growing pipe-weed, which finally leaves us only dreaming about it! Sincerely, JRRT |
