What happened to your family?

What happened to your family in the end? I watched the movie, and it didn't really elaborate.

Dearest Victoria,

I wish I could tell you.  I really do.  But your letter reaches me here at the Conciergerie prison, in Paris.  I do not know how long I have been here.  Time goes by in such a slow manner... All I know, is that I have been separated for my children and my sister Élisabeth for way too long now.  I assume my children are still held prisoners at the Temple.  But I cannot get any news from them.  The King my husband is dead now.  He has been assassinated by the revolutionaries.  Lord knows what they are going to do with me now!
All I wish for is that they won’t hurt my children.  My God, please don’t let them hurt my children!
