| Dear Mr. Dumontais, By this letter, I, Marie-Antoinette, daughter of Marie-Thérèse of Austria and wife of Louis XVI, King of France and Navarre, I advise you of my intentions of taking part in Dialogus, starting today. I will be writing to your readers from the Conciergerie, somewhere in the year 1793 (it's easy in here to lost track of time), which I have no doubt is my last prison. Even though I am closely watched, I will try to answer the letters I will receive through the intermediary of the young Rosalie, who's in charge of taking care of me. I really want to answer all the questions my people will want to ask me. I them to know that I have forgiven them and that I do not hate them, on the contrary. I am now in peace. Thus, I will be waiting impatiently for their letters and questions. Marie-Antoinette |
