      Dear Mr. de Gaulle,

I am emailing you to request your thoughts and opinions on Ireland and the Irish nation, specifically on its fatal flaws and how they be corrected. I would very much appreciate your opinions, which have been true in other cases, especially on France.

Yours Sincerely,

Aidan Walsh

      Dear Mr. Walsh,

I'm always delighted to hear from Ireland. However, please note that I have expressed much of my sentiments about your marvelous country in an earlier letter, under the title "I'm Irish". I invite you to refer to it.

I am not sure what kind of answers you were specifically looking for, asking me about the Irish nation's "fatal flaws" that need to be "corrected". I did not notice any such flaw. But thinking about Ireland, the poetry I found in Glendalough, the majesty that lies in Phoenix Park, the greatness, braveness and proud of its People, there is only one, very general piece of advice I feel entitled to give: Ireland! Please stay yourself! Please look after your identity! Please do not let short-term economic gain transform your society!

Yours faithfully,

Slàn
