Achilles

DeHail Lady Utopia!

My life is not quite as glorious as it was supposed to be. Men praise my prowess, all right, Agamemnon has publicly recognized that I am the best of the Achaeans, but it means nothing to me anymore, not since I’ve lost my dear Patroclus.

I’ve killed the prince Hector under the eyes of the petrified Trojans, right in front of his family and friends, I’ve mutilated his body, but still my grief keeps on growing stronger. I can’t seem to find peace; this state of mind is clearly out of my reach.

For the next twelve days, games will be held in the camp to commemorate Patroclus’ funerals. Any man who wishes to pay his respect shall be welcomed. And, of course, I give you my word that I will answer to any messages coming from your people.

May the gods protect you!

Achilles, son of Peleus
